Klong puja

The Klong Puja (in Thai กลอง ปู จา ) is a drum that can be played on both sides and is used in Northern Thailand .

The Klong Puja is made of hardwood. A drum skin made of cow or deer skin is attached to both sides and is stretched with the help of leather straps . Two smaller drums are attached to the instrument. They are called luke .

The drum is struck by the player in a variety of striking movements with a pair of wooden sticks.

The Klong Puja is a solo instrument used to inform the public in temples during religious events.
