Kolping educational institute

The Kolping Bildungswerk comprises 200 institutions in Germany, all of which are part of the worldwide Kolping Society , and is one of the largest independent providers of vocational training. The offers in the area of ​​vocational preparation and vocational training are used by around 15,000 young people every year. It was founded in 1871.

In the educational centers, which have their own legal entities, youth and adult education is provided nationwide. The "Kolping-Bildungswerk" is made up of many individually state-recognized institutions for further education. What all institutions have in common is the programmatic aspiration of their work, which the German social reformer Adolph Kolping coined 150 years ago under the motto "The focus of our work is people".

Verbund sees its obligation in the following areas in particular:

  • Youth social work and socio-educational assistance for disadvantaged young people
  • Promoting school and vocational training,
  • Integration into the world of work
  • Employment of particularly disadvantaged people in connection with socio-educational or comparable care
  • social integration of adolescents and young adults
  • Open educational work within the meaning of the law for the promotion of adult education in the individual federal states
  • Support in the integration into work and employment of people in need
