Kongō class

Two classes of Japanese warships are referred to as the Kongō class , each according to the type ship:

• Kongō-Klasse (1912) , a class of four battlecruisers of the Imperial Japanese Navy from the First World War.
• Kongō-class (1991) , a class of four guided missile destroyers of the Japanese Marine Self-Defense Forces, based on the US Arleigh Burke-class destroyers.
