Congrua

With congrua portio ( lat. Congrua , congrua portio or sustentatio congrua ) necessary for livelihood of a spiritual dignitary minimum of a generally bepfründeten Kirchenamt designated.

After the age of secularization , some European states of the modern era took over part of the costs for church employees (e.g. until 1939 the state of Austria subsidiarily through the religious fund endowment). With the establishment of the Church Contribution Act in 1939, the state subsidies from these funds were almost entirely canceled; Austria also adopted this regulation after 1945.
