Contamination , also contamination , ( Latin contaminare , besudeln) denotes pollution , in particular


Contamination also describes phenomena in linguistics:

  • a new word created by merging parts of two or more words, see contamination (linguistics)
  • a type of slip of the tongue in which words or parts of sentences are mixed up, see linguistic slip of the tongue
  • handwriting or text copied using two or more originals. The resulting manuscript bears features from different traditions at the same time.
