Cooperation agreement

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Cooperation agreements are contracts that regulate the relations between the main UN bodies and UN specialized agencies or other organizations that cooperate with the UN.

According to Article 63 of the UN Charter , the Economic and Social Council can establish relationships with specialized organizations (def. Article 57).

The type of collaboration varies depending on the organization. Most of the time, an exchange of information is organized and participation in important discussions of the other organization is often allowed. The Bretton Woods institutions , the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), cooperate particularly poorly with the United Nations.
