The county Mallakastra ( Albanian : Rrethi i Mallakastrës ) was one of the 36 administrative districts of Albania , which have been canceled in the summer of 2015 after an administrative reform. The capital of the district was Ballsh . With an area of ​​388 square kilometers, it was the fourth smallest district in the country. The area now forms the municipality of Mallakastra .

The central Albanian district belongs to the Qark Fier and has 25,062 inhabitants.
