Eino Olavi Kuronen (born January 22, 1923 in Maaninka , † January 8, 1989 in Joensuu ) was a Finnish ski jumper .

Career

In 1950 Kuronen jumped a Finnish record with 90 m on the then largest Finnish hill, the Puijo hill in Kuopio . In the same year he won the US ski jumping championship and was awarded the Torger Tokle Memorial Trophy , an award for the winner of the US championships of the Norway Club New York in Duluth , Minnesota . At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lake Placid in 1950 , he was twelfth on the normal hill with jumps of 64.5 m and 62 m.

At the Olympic Winter Games in Oslo in 1956 , he was twelfth on the normal hill. It was the only international tournament in which he competed.
