Kusu is an island in southern Singapore .

Other names for Kusu Island are Peak Island and Pulau Tembakul in Malay . The island is 5.6 km south of the main island.

Emergence

An 85,000 square meter island was created from two tiny reef peaks jutting out of the sea.

According to legend, a magical turtle turned into an island to save two shipwrecked sailors. One of these sailors was Chinese and a Malay.

tourism

The island was built as a vacation resort. In the ninth month of the lunar calendar , thousands of pilgrims come to the island to pray for health, peace, happiness and prosperity.

The island is home to the famous Da Bo Gong Chinese temple and three Malay shrines.

The blue lagoons and pristine beaches are also worth seeing. It is not allowed to stay overnight on Kusu.
