Kuverwasser

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kuverwasser is seepage water that emerges on the land side of a dike . It is also known as Köhrwasser, spring water, drainage water, pressurized water or sweat water. It appears at the back of the dykes when the flood lasts for a long time and makes the hinterland swamp. The embankment of the dike can be in danger, it can begin to flow and slide. The risk of a dike breach is particularly great if the dike contains roots or burrowing burrows or if it is very permeable.

Smoke water is the water that gushes out in the area behind the dike.
