action

In Tokyo in the near future, 16-year-old Kyoko Karasuma (烏丸 響 子Karasuma Kyōko ) belongs to a special police department that deals with unusual crimes that take place in the Asakusa district of Tokyo . These crimes are mostly committed by so-called abnormalities, beings that should not actually exist and mostly come from the legendary world.

At the beginning, Kyoko Karasuma has to deal with Oni , demons who stand out with a horn on the forehead and cause chaos and destruction and also attack people. Then she has to deal with the mysterious disappearance of children. A gang of foreigners is linked to it, but Karasuma soon realizes that there could be another legend connected with a fox behind it. In the next case she will be dealing with the legendary Onikirimaru sword . Whoever touches this sword is overwhelmed by the spirit of the sword and is no longer master of his senses.

The security department of the Asakusa Police Department includes Kyoko Karasuma as well as her level-headed boss Kozo Mitamura, the university graduate and desk stallion Shoichi Ise and the one-eyed daredevil Raymond Kumano. Although the department solves many cases, it does not have a good reputation because the government does not recognize the existence of the saga beings. The successes of the department are hushed up or suppressed.

The main character Kyoko Karasuma himself also has unusual abilities that could possibly be abnormal.
