Target length weight

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The target length weight (LSG) is an important parameter for assessing the nutritional status . The LSG does not refer to the age of the child, but to its size. So the current size is related to the weight and then the target length weight is given in percent.

The LSG applies to children under 16 years of age. In contrast to the BMI , which is only meaningful from the age of 12, this also assesses the weight gain of infants, toddlers and school children.

calculation

Target length weight (%) = body weight × 100 / median weight for body length
