The LCC Istanbul (Language and Culture Center) was founded in 1961 as a state training center for art in Turkey. The institution based in Istanbul was, among other things, a theater school. Renowned artists such as Muhsin Ertuğrul and Haldun Taner taught at it .

An apprenticeship at the LCC was considered a high qualification, especially for setting up a theater in Turkey. Many famous Turkish theater professionals, but also celebrities from other artistic directions, received their training here; Erdal Merdan gained a certain reputation in the German cultural scene .

Today the LCC has been privatized and continues to devote itself to various areas of art and culture, but theater training no longer takes place there.
