La Martina is an Argentine manufacturer of riding saddles and, for some time now, sports and leisure clothing. He is best known as a shirt supplier for polo teams. In addition to the various national teams, including Argentina and Germany, La Martina also equips the university teams from Harvard , Yale , Oxford , Cambridge and the College of St. Xavier in Mumbai (India).
The company was founded in the 1980s by Lando Simonetti, who is still running the company with his son today. It got its name from Martina de Estrada Lainez, mother of the Argentine polo player Adolfo Cambiaso . The Cambiaso family is still in litigation regarding trademark rights. The company's headquarters are in Buenos Aires . Production sites for the European market are in Romania, Italy and Turkey, for the American market La Martina produces directly in Argentina.
