The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan (amtl. Azərbaycan Respublikasının Kənd Təsərrüfatı Nazirliyi ) is an authority of the Republic of Azerbaijan . It is primarily concerned with the issues of agriculture and agriculture.

history

The Ministry of Agriculture was established in 1947. From its inception to 2004, the name of the ministry has been changed six times to reorganize responsibilities within the Azerbaijani authorities.

Competencies

The Ministry of Agriculture is responsible for:

  • Agricultural policy and law matters
  • Rural development affairs
  • Phytosanitary matters
  • Land reform matters and procedures of the agricultural authorities
  • Traffic with agricultural and forestry land
  • Debt relief for agriculture and forestry
  • Organization of the internal market with regard to agricultural, nutritional and forestry products as well as seeds and plants, feed, fertilizers and pesticides including approval, as well as plant protection equipment with the exception of price regulation, price monitoring and matters of price gouging
  • Quality class regulations, plant breeding and seeds

The Ministry of Agriculture provides advice and information.

Headquarters and management

The headquarters are located at 80 Üzeyir Hacibeyov Street in Baku . İnam Karimov has held the post of Minister of Agriculture since April 21, 2018.
