Laser 100
The Vtech Laser 100 and Vtech Laser 110 were home computers from Video Technology Ltd. (VTech) from Hong Kong , which came on the market in 1983. The computer was also offered in Germany under the name Sanyo Laser 100 or Sanyo Laser 110 , because the general importer was Sanyo Video . The laser 110 had a memory of 4 KB , the laser 100 was equipped with less RAM (the figures vary between 2 KB and 3 KB). A Zilog Z80A was installed as the processor . Basically both computers are clones of the Tandy Corporation's TRS-80 , but both computers have been modified with a few small changes to avoid patent problems. The laser 100/110 was followed by the laser 200/210, which had a colored reproduction, but otherwise hardly differed. Both computers could be expanded up to 64 KB. Microsoft BASIC was available in the ROM as the programming language . The device had a rubber keyboard, QWERTY , 45 keys and had a tone generator.
