Life picture show

A life picture show is a psychological phenomenon that occurs in extreme, life-threatening situations. This is a non-pathological form of hypermnesia :

"A non-pathological special form of hypermnesia is the" life picture show ", in which, in moments of acute danger to life, a long series of memories runs through within a very short time as in a time lapse."
