The Republic of Nauru sent two athletes to the tenth World Athletics Championships in Helsinki , Finland in 2005 .

Results

On August 6, 2005, Deamo Baguga finished sixth in the men's fifth heat over 100 meters in a time of 11.64 seconds, ahead of Phomma Kheuabmavong from Laotians . In addition to Kheuabmavong, Harmon Harmon (Cook Islands), Mariuti Uan (Kiribati) and Daraphirit Sam (Cambodia), four of the 58 participants in the prelims were slower than the Nauru. Rosa Mystique Jones finished on August 7th, 2005 in the eighth heat over 100 meters of the women in a time of 13.16 seconds in seventh and last place. A total of eight of the 54 participants in the prelims were slower than the Nauru women.
