Les Hommes Nouveaux

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Les hommes nouveaux. Revue libre was a Franco-German magazine published in 1912 by Blaise Cendrars with Emil Szittya (French: Émile Szittya ) in Paris.

Cendrars wrote several articles in French and German under several pseudonyms (Jack Lee, Diogène and… Blaise Cendrars). The information in the library catalogs for this journal (see e.g. Karlsruhe Virtual Catalog ) is contradictory.

  1. fr.wikipedia 1913 apparently wrong, see cover page
  2. The copy of Série III, No. 1 (?) Contains two woodcuts by Maurice Nalewo .
  3. fr.wikipedia: Two other numbers had previously been published in Berlin by Emil Szittya, no copy of them has been found. Even in the Bibliothèque nationale de France there is none.
  4. The bibliography in the "Ahasver Traumreiter" published by Max Blaeulich, a collection of early prose Szittyas (Klagenfurt-Salzburg, Wieser Verlag 1991; ISBN 3-85129-039-9 ), contains the following information under "Journals published by Szittya": Neue People. Edited by Emil Szittya and Hans Richter. Paris, 1911. Les hommes nouveaux. Paris, 1912. (Only a general number could be found, as well as three issues by Blaise Cendrars, which appear under this publisher's name, but are no longer to be counted as a magazine in this sense). [Quote end]
