Libdash is an open-source - program library , the one object-oriented interface for the DASH standard by MPEG provides. In addition, Libdash is the official reference implementation of this standard. The source code of Libdash is publicly available on github.com and licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License 2.1+.
Libdash is platform-independent and can be used on GNU / Linux , macOS , Windows , Android , iOS etc.
The project also includes a QT -based multimedia player based on FFmpeg and Libdash for test and documentation purposes.
A further development of libdash is the HTML5-based bitdash MPEG-DASH player, which also has a fallback for DASH playback in Flash.
