Lingpa

Lingpa ( Tib . : gling pa ) is a Tibetan title for a terton . Well-known Lingpas are:

  • Choggyur Lingpa (1829–1870), Tibetan tertön
  • Düdjom Lingpa (1835–1904), Tibetan tertön
  • Pema Lingpa (1450–1521), direct incarnation of the eminent scholar Longchen Rabjam of the Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism
  • Pema Tennyi Yungdrung Lingpa (1813–1899), Tertön and Rime master, also known under the name Jamgön Kongtrül Lodrö Thaye
  • Zilnon Lingpa (1922–2002), also known as Chhimed Rigdzin
