Lions music award

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Lions Music Prize is a music competition founded by the Lions Club in Germany in 1992 (initially sporadic, annually since 1998) with instruments (including singing) and venues that change every year. The award is open to musicians up to the age of 23 - who have been living in Germany for at least three years (on January 1st) and who are registered in the nominating Lions district at the time of the competition. It consists of three rounds (regional, national, European). All participants play the same “compulsory piece” and can also choose two compositions from a submitted repertoire list. The expert jury consists of 5 members. The first three participants receive tiered cash prizes and the respective winner takes part in the next stage of the competition.
