The Lippisch P.13a was a design of a new type of interceptor in delta design from the end of the Second World War.

The design came from Alexander Lippisch , who, in addition to the tailless design, also preferred the delta wing for his constructions. Novel drive concepts with coal dust or coal preparations were planned. For test purposes, a prototype was made with the help of students from Darmstadt and Munich. This test glider was therefore given the designation DM 1 (Darmstadt-Munich 1) and had no drive.

Even before it was completed, the test glider was found by the US armed forces at Prien am Chiemsee airfield and brought to the USA. Under the leadership of the US aircraft company Consolidated Vultee Aircraft Corporation , Lippisch also used the basic design features in his post-war designs, e.g. B. the Convair XF-92 continues to be used.
