List of state electoral districts in Saxony-Anhalt
The list of state electoral districts in Saxony-Anhalt lists all of the constituencies for the election of the Saxony-Anhalt state parliament .

In the first state election in 1990, the electoral districts got their names from the district in which it was located. Many constituencies were intersected by a district boundary. So there was often a numbering with Roman numerals. In a way, the naming can be compared with that used in the state electoral districts in North Rhine-Westphalia. The number of constituencies at that time was 49. For the classification, see the list of state constituencies in Saxony-Anhalt in 1990
Most of the electoral districts were renamed for the 1994 state election; Roman numerals were only used in Magdeburg, Dessau and Halle an der Saale. The latter city was still divided into old town and new town in 1990, the numbering of the old town went from I to IV, the new town had two constituencies. Now the constituencies were only called Halls I to VI. A minor change followed in 2002, Halle lost one constituency, but the new constituency of Bad Dürrenberg-Saalkreis was created.
With the 2006 state elections, the number of constituencies was reduced to 45, Magdeburg and Halle each lost one constituency, and one constituency in the Dessau-Roßlau region was dissolved. The Ballenstedt constituency also fell away. In the state elections on March 26, 2006 , 40 of the 45 direct mandates went to the CDU, 3 to the Left Party and 2 to the SPD. The Saxony-Anhalt state parliament then had 97 members in 4 parliamentary groups .
For the 2011 state election , the number of constituencies was not changed, they just changed some constituency names. The election took place on March 20, 2011. The state parliament then consisted of 105 members in 4 parliamentary groups. Of the 45 direct mandates, 41 went to the CDU, 3 to the Die Linke party and 1 to the SPD.
Names and territories of the constituencies for the state elections in 2016
For the 2016 state elections , the number of members of the state parliament (without any overhang or compensatory seats) was reduced to 87, the number of direct seats to 43. This also involved a new delimitation of the existing constituencies. The constituencies of Nebra and Hettstedt were thereby abolished, and the layout of many constituencies changed, sometimes drastically. This was decided by the state parliament in November 2014 with the law on parliamentary reform 2014 . This also regulates that the state parliament should be made smaller again for the following state elections (probably in 2021), it will then only comprise 83 members, 41 of whom are directly elected. This will then require a further re-division of the constituencies. The constituencies for the 2016 elections are as follows:
