Dormant mandates
The constitution of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg stipulates that members of the Senate are not allowed to exercise a citizenry mandate. The mandate is suspended during this term of office and is exercised by the next appointed person on the nomination . If a mandate is suspended, the person on the nomination who was last appointed resigns.
