List of music academies and conservatories in Austria
This is a list of music colleges and conservatories in Austria .
In the Austrian educational system, the conservatory is a vocational school with a statute for training as a musician . Formerly practiced there as well trained as music teachers today requires a higher education ( teacher training ) and takes place at the Music Academy instead. On the other hand, some conservatories are now also offering courses and are thus also gaining university character, or have been completely converted into university form.

The Salzburg State Conservatory is the Mozarteum, the Upper Austrian one is the Bruckner University, and the one in Vienna is the KONSuni.
