Stumbling blocks in Ancona

The list of stumbling blocks in the Marche contains the stumbling blocks that were laid by the Cologne artist Gunter Demnig in the Italian region of Marken . Stumbling blocks remind of the fate of the people who were murdered, deported, expelled or driven to suicide by the National Socialists .

Stumbling blocks are usually from the last self-chosen place of residence of the victim. The first installations in this region took place on January 12, 2017 in Ancona and Ostra Vetere . The Italian translation of the term stumbling blocks is: pietre d'inciampo .
