The University of Stuttgart offers a wide range of bachelor's and master's degree programs as well as teacher training programs in engineering, natural sciences (including mathematics), linguistics and cultural studies, and economics and social sciences. These are shown in the list below. In total, as of June 2019, there are 71 Bachelor's and 98 Master's programs. 16 of the master’s courses are wholly or partly in English, three are combined in German and French.

Teacher training courses

Computer science, chemistry, mathematics, natural science and technology, physics, German, English, French, history, Italian, philosophy / ethics, political science, sport and economics can be studied at the University of Stuttgart. The subject of biology is offered in cooperation with the University of Hohenheim , the subject of fine arts in cooperation with the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart and the subject of music in cooperation with the University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart . It is not possible to study Latin, Greek, Religion and Spanish at the University of Stuttgart; geography has not been offered since 2004.

Masters: online continuing education courses

In order to do justice to the growing market for further education courses, the University of Stuttgart has offered the Master: Online courses since 2007. These courses, which are funded by the Ministry of Research, Economics and the Arts due to their innovative nature in the start-up phase, are aimed at graduates with a bachelor's or diploma who have at least two years of professional experience and can be studied part-time thanks to the blended learning concept. 80% of the course content is learned online from home, which is made possible by close supervision by tutors and various supporting technologies such as virtual classrooms and forums.
