List of superintendents of the provinces of New Zealand

This list includes all superintendents of the provinces of New Zealand from 1848 to 1877. The term of office of some superintendents extends beyond the entry into force of the Abolition of the Provinces Act on November 1, 1876, since the new county councils had to be elected first and not until January 1, 1877 took over their office.
