The chapel, first mentioned in a document in the 16th century, was rebuilt in 1859 in neo-Romanesque style. The south front has three round windows above the arched portal. The gable roof has a turret with a crossed gable.

The iron framework as a chain bridge on two pillars was built in 1902/1903. The pillar superstructures are crowned by wing-swinging eagles. In the connecting arches are the coats of arms of the Austrian monarchy and Bavaria.
