  • Reichlinstraße : named after the prince abbots Anselm Reichlin von Meldegg (1679–1747, ruled 1728–1747) and Castolus Reichlin von Meldegg (1743–1804, ruled 1793–1803).
  • Reinhard-Furrer-Weg : Reinhard Furrer (1940–1995), astronaut and professor of space science, graduated from high school in Kempten. During his studies in Berlin, he was involved in escape aid campaigns. He died in the crash of a vintage airplane in Berlin and is buried in the Protestant cemetery in Kempten .
  • Reiserweg : Karl August Reiser (1853–1922), teacher, geologist and local history researcher, published several books on the history of the Allgäu, including a collection of sagas and proverbs. The Reiser collection with geological objects named after him was previously exhibited in the Zumsteinhaus .
