After the unconditional surrender of the Wehrmacht in 1945, the Allied Control Council , which was responsible for film censorship , issued a list of films not released for public screening in order to prevent National Socialist film propaganda from continuing to work. In addition to the titles later classified as " reserved films " in the Federal Republic of Germany, the list also included those listed here, most of which came back to the cinemas after the occupation in the Federal Republic and the GDR, and later also on television. DVDs with these films have also been released since 2004 .
Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels valued these allegedly “non-political” productions .
The list This list only shows the titles of feature films that were not later declared as reserved films . Films that have subsequently received an age rating from the FSK are specially marked.
