Lito

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lito is a historic motorcycle brand from the Swedish motorcycle manufacturer Litoverken AB. Motorcycles of this brand were manufactured in Helsingborg from 1959 to 1965 .

Under the name Lito, small series of motocross machines were produced in Sweden in the early 1960s. Kaj Bonebusch, a print shop owner (hence the name Lito), had the successful 500cc four-stroke engines from Albin- Monark , which were also installed in some of the winning crossers from Monark and Husqvarna, in their own chassis. British components were also used for the periphery. Hedlund engines were later used. Sten Lundin became world champion in 1961 with a 500cc Lito MX . Only a few dozen machines were built.
