from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Little Charlie & the Nightcats is a California blues band that was founded in 1976 by math student Charlie Baty and Rick Estrin in Berkeley . Current members of the group (as of 2010) are Kid Andersen (guitar), Rick Estrin (harmonica, vocals), Lorenzo Farrell (bass) and J. Hansen (drums). After Charlie Baty's retirement, the band renamed themselves "Rick Estrin & The Nightcats", but stayed true to their style.

In 1987 her debut album All the Way Crazy was released , followed in 1988 by Disturbing the Peace . These albums made the band known to a wider audience. They toured across the United States and performed at well-known festivals such as the San Francisco Blues Festival , the Montreal International Jazz Festival, and the Seattle Bumbershoot Festival , to name a few.
