Contract filling

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The contract filling is where private entrepreneurs or corporate bottling, labeling and packaging of their product to another company, the contract filler outsource a process.

Reasons for contract filling

Contract filling is common in the cosmetics, chemical and beverage industries. Companies outsource the filling to external service providers in order to save time, space, capital and money as well as to make use of the expertise of the contract filling company. This allows clients to concentrate on essential areas of their company and on selling their product. In some cases, a contract bottling company can take over the entire manufacturing process for the product, but this depends on their expertise. The manufacturing process can include developing the raw material, mixing the ingredients, filling, labeling and packaging.

Certifications

Some customers expect a certified production or treatment of their product from the contract filler. The contract filler has the option of obtaining such certification.

Frequent certifications

contracts

Usually a contract is made between the customer and the contract filler. Special customer requirements such as the components of the product, the manufacturing process, packaging, labeling and storage of the product are specified in the contract. Further components of the contract can be the method of payment and the delivery period for the finished product.
