Long is in the heraldry an emblem and is considered a Chinese dragon.

In European coats of arms it is only found in the coat of arms of the former Portuguese colony of Macau and in old coats of arms of Vietnam (imperial coat of arms) and on flags, as shown on that of Bhutan . It has become more widespread on flags. It shows a very slender dragon that can have various tinctures . It is also known as a shield holder and helmet treasure .
