The Longyi [lòuɲdʒì] ( Burmese လုံချည် - lum hkyany ), also Lontschi or wraparound skirt , is a traditional garment in Burma that is similar to the sarong and is sometimes also called that. It is also called Paso for men and Thamein for women .

The longyi is a two-meter-long and one-meter-wide panel of fabric (standard size) that is wrapped around the hips and tied at the stomach for men and at the hips for women.
