This is a list of episodes from Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions , an anime television series loosely based on the light novel series of the same name, Chūnibyō Demo Koi ga Shitai! based. The series consists of the main series, which has 24 episodes, and a complementary web anime called Chūnibyō Demo Koi ga Shitai! Lite , as well as the films Takanashi Rikka Kai - Gekijōban Chūnibyō Demo Koi ga Shitai! and Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions! - Take On Me .

Kaikō no ... Jaō Shingan

In middle school, Yūta Togashi was probably best known as the Dark Flame Master , and in this role he had acquired an embarrassing reputation for him at his old school. In order to escape this past and his reputation, he consciously chose a high school where nobody would know him. As the last act before his first day of school at his new school, he banishes his repertoire of collected accessories from his room, with which he would have loved to never have had anything to do with. While he risks one last look at the "garbage" he sees a rope being lowered on the balcony and finally Rikka Takanashi, who is still completely unknown to him, laboriously rappels down on it. When he helps her to reach the balcony railing, this is also her first, brief encounter, where Rikka has roped off faster than he could understand what was going on.

When Yūta is on his way to school the next day, waiting for the train, he meets Shinka Nibutani, who is still unknown to him. Since he finds her extremely attractive and she would probably go to the same school because of her uniform, he wallows in thought before Rikka meets his gaze. At first he is still extremely astonished by the shock of the last evening in his limbs, but this increases considerably when Rikka pretends to magically open the door of the train that has just stopped. As a result, he is downright paralyzed and promptly misses his train, which has already left without him. He is afraid of being late on the first day of school, but in the end he still manages to do it on time. However, he does not enter the classroom straight away, but tries to convince himself of courage alone on a balcony, whereby he falls back a little into his old state and introduces himself again as a Dark Flame Master in his mind and in the real world. He is observed unnoticed by Rikka, which is ultimately a key scene, as this arouses Rika's interest in Yūta, whom she had already met once on the street in his role as Dark Flame Master and took as a role model.

During the first few lessons, Yūta tries very hard to make a good impression on his new classmates. He promptly befriends Makoto Isshiki, who is sitting behind him, and notices Shinka Nibutani, who is the head girl. To his renewed astonishment, Rikka suddenly stands next to him, who promptly introduces herself as if Yūta were the chosen one she had been looking for forever. Since Rikka pretends to hurt her right eye, which she hides behind an eye patch, Yūta is in a way forced by the class to accompany her to the infirmary. There it turns out that her so-called Jaō Shingan ( 邪王 真 眼 , dt. "The true eye of the evil king") only hurts because she wears a yellow contact lens, which irritates her eye. This brings back embarrassing memories of his time as a middle school student in Yūta, which is why he doesn't really know how to deal with the situation. His mind often fluctuates between extremes, which is portrayed in a humorous way. In class he tries to distance himself from Rikka as much as possible. He does not succeed, however, because Rikka has lost her wallet and he is asked by the class teacher to accompany her home. After all, Rikka lives right above him, so he can't refuse the request. At home, meanwhile, numerous boxes are piled up that a moving service has left in Yūta's apartment, but which should actually be in Rikka's apartment. So under pressure from his younger sister Kuzuha Togashi he feels compelled to help Rikka again and notices more and more how strong the expression of the Chūnibyō syndrome is in her and that he threatens to fall back into his old state again and again. Since Rikka's older sister Tōka Takanashi is not at home late in the evening, Rikka is invited to dinner by Yūta's family, which is again embarrassing for him because they know his past and allude to it when Rikka is eating.

The next morning Shinka wakes him dreaming of Rikka, who had roped down again on the balcony. So it clings to him like a burdock and he would like to get rid of it, as its presence is embarrassing for him in many ways. In school, however, this has no effect and he finds his way around the class even better and is also appointed second class representative, which he secretly hopes to get closer to Shinka. Meanwhile, in the hallway he notices a notice that Kumin Tsuyuri is looking for her runaway cat, which at first glance looks like the Rikka who ran up the day before and disguised as a chimera . When he asks Kumin about it, they decide to go to Rikka's apartment together. This becomes an embarrassing moment for Yūta again because Rikka has equipped her apartment with all sorts of accessories and he, too, can sometimes not hold back in this atmosphere. Kumin, who always leaves a somewhat tired impression at school, accepts this with an uncomfortable calm and even enthusiasm. However, it turns out that it is not Kumin's cat. However, they are abruptly interrupted by Rikka's older sister Tōka Takanashi, who is allergic to cats and is upset that Rikka, knowing this, has brought a cat into the apartment. Rikka, who fears her sister without further ado, fled the window and ended up with the following Tōka in Yūta's room, where they both had an argument in which Rikka hit his own head and stayed there. So the remaining talk in the living room and Tōka tries to win Yūta to help her tear Rikka out of her dream world. He is not particularly pleased by this, but is ultimately blackmailed by Tōka, who recorded his performance as Dark Flame Master and plays in the presence of Kumin. In the meantime, Rikka had come to and fled again. When Yūta sees the dictation machine lying unobserved, he and Kumin also run away, so that they end up hiding with Rikka in front of Tōka in a playground. Tōka finds her anyway and can easily defeat Rikka in a duel, which is represented from Rikka's point of view in her typical dream world, since her attacks of course have no penetrative power in the real world. So the night trip ends and the cat is finally taken in by Yūta, whose family has no objections.
