Love Goes Down is a song by British rapper and soul musician Plan B and the fifth single from his album The Defamation of Strickland Banks . The song was first released on December 3, 2010 in the UK on iTunes . In Germany, for example, the title was only available on June 3, 2011. Over 20 different musicians were involved in the recording . The song was recorded in The Sanctuary Studios in London in 2009. The song was remixed by Doctor P , among others . According to their own account, Plan B wrote the song back in 2004 when he was on tour with The Roots .
Music video
The music video was first released on YouTube on November 16, 2010 . There it is four minutes and 37 seconds long. In the video you can see mainly Plan B during a live performance, separately how he is preparing for a performance. It was directed by Daniel Wolfe. The video had over 2 million views on YouTube in August 2012. No video was released for the remix of Doctor P, but the audio version got significantly more clicks than the original with 4.5 million.

Charts
It reached number 62 in the UK charts and number 47 in the German Youth Airplay Charts . You only stayed in the top 75 for a week in the UK.
criticism
Hive Magazine's Caitlin Maxwell says Love Goes Down shows a different side of Plan B when he sings about a new love and that Plan B's voice is full of emotion. BBC Music's Ian Wade says the title would be “just beautiful”.
