Lucas Valley

The Lucas Valley is a valley in Marin County , California and is located near Nicasio .
The Lucas Valley Road traverses the length of the valley and connects it with the Gallinas Valley in the east and the Nicasio Valley in the west. It was named after a large landowner from the area.

In 1978, director George Lucas began purchasing land in the area for his Skywalker Ranch .
