Lucilio Minerbi

Lucilio Minerbi (* 15th century in Rome ; † 16th century ) was an Italian lexicographer.

life and work

Only what he says in his works is known of Minerbi. He came from a Roman family, worked in Venice and wrote an early glossary of the Decameron (with 4000 entries), which puts him in a row with Niccolò Liburnio (1526), Alberto Accarisi (1543) and Francesco Alunno (1543), who in of the Questione della lingua represented the doctrine of Pietro Bembo .
