Lucius Faenius Rufus
Lucius Faenius Rufus († April 65 ) was praefectus annonae of Rome from 55 to 62 . According to the reports of Tacitus , he did not enrich himself in the exercise of the office, which was considered an exception. After the death of Burrus , Faenius Rufus was appointed Praetorian prefect along with Tigellinus .
In 65 he was one of the co-conspirators of the Pisonian conspiracy against the Emperor Nero . First, however, he took action against the conspirators himself to save his life. However, his involvement in the conspiracy was revealed and he was executed on Nero's orders.
