Air hazard

The term air hazard was used during the Second World War as a unit (abbreviation: L) for the duration until the arrival of enemy combat aircraft .

L15, or Luftgeahrge 15, therefore meant that an attack was to be expected in 15 minutes and appropriate air protection measures had to be taken. Today this unit is often found in air raid logs.
