MH Daley was an American automobile manufacturer .
Company history
MH Daley ran the company of the same name in Charles City , Iowa . Mainly he manufactured agricultural implements such as harrows . The first automobile followed in 1895 under the brand name Daley . Six vehicles were built by 1898, then maybe one or two.
Daley's son continued the business for a while, but without building any more automobiles. It is not known when the company was dissolved.

The vehicles had a gasoline engine . The first prototype had a rotary engine that did not work satisfactorily. The vehicle was registered for the Chicago Times-Herald Reliability Contest on November 28, 1895, but was not ready in time for the start of this officially first car race in the USA and did not appear at the start.
This was followed by a two-cylinder engine . The vehicle weighed only 88 kg. One illustration shows an open two-seater. The front suspension had a spring travel of approx. 30 cm to compensate for unevenness in the road. The original price was 500 US dollars .
