Madman's wit
Madmans Esprit is a five-piece, originally South Korean band and a solo project by Kyuho Lee, who formed the band in 2010. The name of the band Madmans Esprit has no specific meaning. A name was needed for the band for a performance, whereupon the guitarist at the time picked two words from the English dictionary that, in his opinion, sounded "cool".
style
The band's musical style combines various styles of music, including black metal sub-genres, elements from folk and classical music and combines the whole thing with visual kei aesthetics. The band itself describes their style as Depressive Suicidal Blackened Pop (transl. "Depressive, suicidal, blackened pop"). All current band members come from South Korea, but since Kyuho, who writes the lyrics, speaks some languages, the band's music combines Korean , English , German and Japanese .
history
The band's first lineup consisted of Kyuho, Nansil (蘭 實, bass), Jungbin (睛 彬, guitar) and Hojin (滸 震, drums). Madman's Esprit made her official debut with Nacht in 2014, released by the Italian label ATMF.
