Four young people go through a listless, thunderstorm afternoon. First of all, records are listened to and drugs are consumed, after upholstery fights and sex games, more and more aggressions are discharged, the situation gets out of control and time is no longer just being killed.
For the author Wolfgang Bauer, Magic Afternoon was the international breakthrough. The world premiere took place on September 12, 1968 under the direction of Horst Zankl at the Landestheater Hannover , after the play had previously been rejected by 40 theaters in the entire German-speaking region.
