The Graund , also Ground , Mahni or Mauney , was a square measure in the Madras presidency and used as a field measure.

1 graund = 2400 square feet = 2.2296 ares = about 223 square meters
1 Kahni / Cawney = 24 Graunds = 53.51 ares
