Mannsfeld (Cologne)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mannsfeld is a former Cologne district in what is now the Raderberg and Bayenthal districts .

The quarter got its name from the entrepreneur and hotelier Carl Friedrich Mann , who bought land on Bonner Strasse and had houses built there. He also had the Lenders villa built there. The name Mannsfeld was in use until the 1940s. Today the Mannsfelder Straße in Raderberg still reminds of the quarter.
