The Manx are the Celtic inhabitants of Man , an autonomous island in the Irish Sea under the British Crown. The Manx are a tribe with their own culture and language.

The Manx language, Manx Gaelic , belongs to the Celtic language group of the Indo-European language family . However, it practically died out in the 20th century . Manx still had 10 speakers in 1950. However, it has been revived with some success in recent years.
