Marko Mihojević (born April 21, 1996 in Trebinje ) is a Bosnian-Herzegovinian football player . The central defender has been under contract with FC Erzgebirge Aue as a loan player from PAOK Thessaloniki since summer 2019 .
Career
society
Mihojević played in his youth at FK Leotar Trebinje . In this club in his hometown he played his first games in the first-class Premijer Liga in 2012 and 2013 . In 2014 Mihojević moved to FK Sarajevo . There he played again in the youth field. In the 2014/15 season he was Bosnian-Herzegovinian champion with FK Sarajevo, with Mihojević having short appearances this season. In 2017, he scored his first goals in the adult field on August 27 against Borac Banja Luka and on September 23 against NK Čelik Zenica .
Mihojević was signed by PAOK Thessaloniki in January 2018 . There he played once against AO Platanias on the last matchday of the 2017/18 season in May 2018 . Mihojević was runner-up in Greece with PAOK Thessaloniki. In the following season Mihojević was loaned to the Greek league rivals OFI Crete . He completed 22 league games there.
In summer 2019 Mihojević was loaned to the German second division club FC Erzgebirge Aue with a purchase option. The purchase option was not redeemed.
National team
In the youth teams of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mihojević played qualifying games for the U19 European Championship in 2015 , the U21 European Championship in 2017 and the U21 European Championship in 2019 . In the senior national team , he completed his first appearance on January 29, 2018 as part of a friendly against the USA national team.
